Need
more room???
The 2x4 company worked with owners of a small home
in North Keswick. The family loved the location of their home,
however required additional living space for their growing family.
They were looking for a way to maximize additional living space
for the funds that they had available.
This would allow them to avoid the cost associated with purchasing
a new home and let them remain in their desired location. The
2x4 Company raised their existing house and added a new floor,
doubling the square footage in a cost effective manner. Upon
completion of the project the value of the home was increased
by twice the project cost, and the family has the space they
need in the location they enjoy.

Installing
Slab Foundation
This slab on grade foundation shows work
in progress when The 2 x 4 Company raised this
home and installed an engineered slab foundation with 4
rows of concrete blocks.
The 2 x 4 Comapny removed and redesigned the roof,
giving the home a whole new look. |

Laying
Foundation and Building a Basement
This Newmarket Group Home had proposed plans to
deepen the low 6'6" basement to a full basement.
The plan was to underpin footings in 12 ft. intervals and excavate
the interior by hand by another
3 ft. The 2 x 4 Company raised the house on steel beams,
excavated the basement, poured new
footings and concrete block walls at a major financial saving
using this more workable approach. |
